I said to her, "you didn't even type the number in!!! She lied directly to my face! I said, "you give out 22000 Krona and keep no records?" I said I had I already received one and this gentleman deserves to eat as well. I spoke with a fellow delayed traveler and suggested he get a voucher too. I notified them and they gave me a haste about a meal voucher. Kiosk said to notify if more than two hour delay for compensation. Had the airlines made any effort to be helpful or attend to their customers needs, they would have announced we needn't leave the aircraft. The flight attendants wouldn't even answer our call button when we needed to ask a question about the UK Landing Form. And everyone on the airplane was mad at us. The attendant who scanned our boarding passes was just this side of rude. We literally sprinted through the terminal. That connecting flight was to have left over 3 hours before and yet no one could tell us why the schedule had the connecting flight still listed as "Final Call." We were paged and then told we had to run to catch the plane. Every passenger disembarked and then had to be paged. They didn't bother letting those of us continuing on to Glasgow know we needn't disembark since the plane we were on was the aircraft for that flight. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."Ĭons: "Upon arriving in Iceland 3 hours late, when asked what we needed to do about our connecting flights and were told to check with the airline's service desk. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. Cons: "Was not informed that checking in online is the only way to secure a seat.
